Having worked in administration for over 25 years, in various industries and different-sized companies, Karen enjoys the smaller, friendly environment of a small business where she can make a difference.
Outside of work, Karen keeps herself busy walking her border terrier and making bespoke greetings cards. She also enjoys gardening and likes nothing more than sitting and relaxing outside in the sun.
A qualified AAT 4 Accounting Technician, Karen works at customer premises as well as from our office. She is our expert on self-assessment tax returns, making sure customers meet HMRC deadlines.
She has worked in bookkeeping roles for some years, and as an office and finance manager.
Outside of work, Karen is a guide leader for 2nd Royal Wootton Bassett Guides, and is a whizz with papercrafts, knitting and crochet.
After starting his career as an accountant, Francis discovered a passion for the specialised area of payroll, going on to study for his CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) and a degree in payroll management.
His career in payroll includes working for accountancy practices and Bristol City Council where he implemented a new payroll system for 350 employees.
When he's not working, most of Francis's time is spent with his partner and two dogs. He also enjoys dining out and trips to the cinema.
One of our senior bookkeepers, Nicola is an expert on QuickBooks and works with many of our clients, both at our office and theirs.
Previous roles include running the office at Jet Ski UK, next to a lake at the Cotswold Water Park.
When not at Whitehill, Nicola is kept busy with two children. She also enjoys keeping fit with Pilates and Yoga, and loves baking, frequently bringing delicious home-made cakes to the office.
With a previous career in bookkeeping and secretarial work, senior bookkeeper Tania has been with us for more than five years.
She is qualified to AAT Levels 2,3, and 4 and also has a degree in Sociology.
When not in the office making and chasing payments, and other bookkeeping activities, Tania is busy socialising with friends and family, and chasing after her two children and golden retriever.
Angie ensures the efficient running of our office administration and looks after our mailbox customers.

A qualified accounting technican and a full member of AAT, Katarina is currently studying CIMA to become a chartered management accountant. She has gained her accounting experience in a practice as well as project and production-based companies.
Linking her theoretical knowledge with practical skills, Katarina is always looking forward to her next challenge - may it be the next unit in her studies, another set of accounts or learning something new.
Outside work, Katarina likes trips to the seaside or other beautiful parts of the country, spending time with her family and friends and a bit of gardening. She also volunteers for a local AAT Swindon Branch as a committee member.
